Cooperative Extension is in search of a few green thumbs to represent and promote research-based gardening and agriculture information from NCState.

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer (EMGV) program is accepting applications until December 15, 2023, for Rutherford County residents willing to share their gardening knowledge with others. Graduates of the 40-hour course go on to complete 40 hours of internship to become a certified Master Gardener. To remain active in the program, all volunteers are required to meet recertification requirements of 20 hours of volunteer time giving back to our community and 10 hours of continuing education per year.
