The NC Foothills Farm Tour is back with a fantastic lineup on June 25th, 2022. The event is open to everyone and will feature six locations throughout Polk and Rutherford counties. In Rutherford County, we will be featuring Seven Oaks farm, Ruff’ton Roots Community Garden, and Dreaming Stone Arts and Ecology Center. In Polk County, we will be featuring Looking Glass Creamery, San Felipe Farm, and Buttercup Cottage.
The June farm tour is self-guided, so you can look into all of the options ahead of time and decide where you want to visit based on your interests. On your visit producers will share their passion and knowledge for as long as you’d like.
Tickets are sold per vehicle on Eventbrite, so you only need one for your whole car. More information can be found at NC Foothills Farm Tour. Farm tour addresses will be shared through Eventbrite with all participants who have purchased a ticket.
We can’t wait to see you, your family, and friends supporting our local food producers and community builders. Learn more, check out the locations that you’ll be able to visit, order tickets through our website, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram @ncfoothillsfarmtour.
We are also looking for volunteers to help out with the farm tour on the day of the event. We ask volunteers to work for a half-day, in exchange for a free ticket to participate in the tour for the other half of the day. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you want to go on a farm tour but don’t think you’ll be able to make the June 25th date? Stay tuned for more information about our October 15th event, which will be structured as a small group tour with in-depth looks at other farms in Polk and Rutherford counties. The October tour will be more structured and scheduled ahead of time, rather than the style of choosing your own adventure that the June event will feature.
This event is brought to you through a partnership between the Rutherford County Extension Center and the Polk County Agricultural Economic Development Office.
