Foothills Farm Tour flyer imageN.C. Cooperative Extension in Rutherford County and Polk County Agricultural Development are partnering to bring you the first ever NC Foothills Farm Tour.

Join us on Saturday, June 8, 2019, as we invite you to experience first hand the hard work of our local, small farmers in Polk and Rutherford Counties at the Inaugural NC Foothills Farm Tour!

We will have over 15 stops on the tour this year with everything from produce, dairy, flower, microgreens, garlic, and livestock farms to wineries! The event will start at whichever farm you choose to begin, and you’ll be able to choose your own adventure for the day.

This is a perfect chance to get to know your farmer, and learn where your food comes from. Our theme this year is “Homegrown,” so we hope that you all experience something at your farm stops that you can take back to implement at your home or actions you can take to build a better relationship with your food for that homegrown experience.
GPS does not always work for all of our farms so please look for our signs that will be posted along your drive leading you to each farm stop. Maps will be provided at your first farm stop.
