Join us for the 8th Annual Piedmont Regional Beef Conference on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center located at 1192 US 64W Business, Pittsboro, NC.
This year’s conference will feature three phenomenal speakers: Dr. Dale Woerner from Texas Tech University, Dr. Darrh Bullock from the University of Kentucky, and Lee Menius from NC Choices. Dr. Woerner joined us in 2017 and took us through feeding market cows to improve beef quality with a beef cutting demonstration which was very popular so we decided to bring him back for 2020! For 2020, he will be focusing on the value of high-quality beef (low vs. high quality) with a beef cutting demonstration.

In addition, Dr. Darrh Bullock will be presenting on how to select bulls for the commercial herd to improve genetics and target high-quality beef. To continue with our conference theme for 2020, Lee Menius will join us to talk about how to add value to your operation through meat sales. At the end of the conference, there will be an optional Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) guidelines and certification training. The cost for BQA certification is separate from the conference registration and is collected on-site (please bring a check with you).
