The dates for the 2019 Feeder Cattle Sales have been announced. All sales will be held at the Stanly County Livestock Market at 6 p.m.

Stanly County Livestock Market

Stanly County Livestock Market – 13215 Indian Mound Rd, Norwood

SALE REQUIREMENTS:

ALL calves are required to have at least one modified-live respiratory vaccine (MLV) in order to sell at a graded feeder calf sale.

Regular Feeder Calf Sale: May 2, June 6, August 1, September 12, 2019

  • Steers or heifer calves 300+ lbs.
  • Properly castrated and healed.
  • Polled (or properly dehorned and healed).
  • Producer must submit Health Verification Form on or before sale day (provided through Stanly County Livestock Market).
  • Vaccinations: One dose of Blackleg vaccine (with or without somnus) and one dose of modified-live respiratory vaccine with pasteurella.
  • Other conditions: Calves need to be tagged with a regular sale ear tag prior to sale day (provided free of charge by the barn).

Value-Added BQA Weaned Sales:  March 21, July 11, September 5, 2019

  • Steers or heifer calves 400+ lbs.
  • Properly castrated and healed.
  • Polled (or dehorned and healed).
  • Producer must be BQA Certified.
  • Producer must submit Health Verification Form on or before sale day (provided through Stanly County Livestock Market).
  • Vaccinations: TWO doses of both modified live respiratory vaccine (one with pasteurella) and TWO doses of blackleg vaccines (one with somnus).
  • Dewormed with recognized dewormer.
  • Other conditions: Calves must be weaned for at least 45+ days. Heifers need to be guaranteed open. Calves need to be tagged with a BQA sale ear tag prior to sale day (provided free of charge by the barn).
